Trophy Tour Stopping in Durham Nov. 19 for Aggie-Eagle Classic

The Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl Trophy Tour, presented by Coca-Cola, will make its fifth of nine stops in Durham, North Carolina for the Aggie-Eagle Classic next weekend.  The game features North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University versus North Carolina Central University, both of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). Kickoff is at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, November 19, 2016.

Outside O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium, fans can take pictures with the trophy and post them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the official hashtag #AFRCBtrophytour for the chance to win a VIP experience at the 2016 Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl.

The inaugural Trophy Tour will take the official trophy to a total of eight marquee college football games and events throughout the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), as well as an Air Force Reserve Base. It will stop at the following events before arriving at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta for the second annual Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016.

Establishing itself as the first bowl game of the season, the Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl is a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) postseason football game owned and operated by ESPN Events, a division of ESPN. It is a championship-style game between the MEAC and SWAC champions and will be televised on ABC at noon on Saturday, Dec.17. ESPN works with 100 Black Men of Atlanta to organize the game’s ancillary events which include a youth symposium, robotics showcase, college and job fair, fan experience and more.
