As a drum major for Jackson State University’s elite marching band, Sonic Boom of the South, senior Jonathan Johnson is a leader in the eyes of his bandmates. But it was no easy job earning the prestigious position. After failing to make the squad his freshman year, Johnson proved that through hard work and perseverance, he could accomplish anything.
