With the college football postseason fast approaching, tickets will go on sale today, Thursday, October 27, 2016, for the second annual Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl. As the game that opens the bowl season, the Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl is a championship-style game between the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) champions. The game will be broadcast live on ABC at noon ET on Saturday, Dec. 17, from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. SportsCenter on the Road will once again air live from outside the Dome beginning at 10 a.m.
Establishing itself as the first bowl game of the season, the Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl is a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) postseason football game owned and operated by ESPN Events, a division of ESPN. ESPN works with 100 Black Men of Atlanta to organize the game’s ancillary events which include a youth symposium, robotics showcase, college and job fair, fan experience and more. North Carolina A&T won the inaugural game in 2015 after defeating Alcorn State 41-34 in front of over 35,000 fans.
Fans can purchase tickets to the Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl online at ticketmaster.com, by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000 or in person at the Georgia Dome box office.
