Reina Jones Short is currently the Manager for Delta Community Credit Union’s Business and Community Development department. Reina is able to invest over $680,000 as a responsible corporate citizen in community organizations, Chambers of Commerce, non-profit organizations and industry partners. Early in her career, Reina was with Allstate Insurance Company as a Senior Analyst. Mrs. Short began her non- profit career in 2004 as a Loaned Executive for United Way of Greater Atlanta. As a result, Reina continued her work with United Way as Action Committee Project Manager for Smart Start and Project Manager for Metro Voices, Metro Choices. In 2005, Reina became Associate Director for United Way in DeKalb County, managing the resource development process for DeKalb County; including DeKalb Women’s Leadership Council and Community Investments. In 2010 Reina was named Interim Area Director, Fayette County where she identified fundraising and development strategies, re-developed the Fayette county Advisory Board and partnered with local organizations in support of fund-development and community- based programs across Fayette County. In 2011, Reina Short assumed the role as Director of the Major Gifts Cole Society, where she was responsible for the planning and implementation of strategies to engage over 9,000 Cole Society donors in United Way’s work. Upon leaving United Way in 2013, Reina served as Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations for 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc. Through collaboration, she brokered relationships that leveraged and maximized corporate and foundation giving to 100 Black Men of Atlanta.

Mrs. Short is an active community volunteer with a passion for service and a strong commitment to human development. Reina is currently serving on the Board of Directors with the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta, as Membership Committee Chair and At-Large Board Member with Synchronicity Theatre. She also serves on the Fundraising Committee for The Museum School and on the Board of Directors of Mental Fitness 21st Century Learning, Inc. Reina is a current member of the Credit Union National Association.

Reina graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Mass Media Communications and a Minor in Business Management from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC. She is an active member of the Tau Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
