Friday, December 13

9:00 am – Water Safety – Drew Charter School (Atlanta, GA)

11:00 am – Water Safety – Ivy Academy (Atlanta, GA)

1:30 pm – Water Safety – KIPP Academy (Atlanta, GA)

4:00 pm – Water Safety Festival and Developmental Swim Meet at Morehouse College

  • The in-water clinic with stations that include water safety, scuba diving, water polo, and a diving exposition.
  • Development swim meet with five local swim teams (6 – 18 years old) participating.
  • Awards presented at the end, and a dedication given to the former aquatic director (Harold “Bingo” Head), who passed away this summer.
  • 14 vendors (local swim clubs, American Red Cross, One America Financials, etc.) on site in the gym.

 

Saturday, December 14: HBCU Celebration Swim Meet – Morehouse College

6:00 am – Pool opens for warm-up

7:00 am – Meet begins

  • HBCU (Undergraduate) Teams from Norfolk, Grambling, Spelman, FAMU, and Howard (Diving expo).
  • Alumni from HBCUs will be competing for their institution along with US Master Swimming Clubs to include two Divine Nine relay teams.

10:30 am – Awards & Lunch

12:00 noon – Cricket Celebration Bowl

6:00 pm – DIA Fundraiser at Atlantucky Brewing – 170 Northside Dr SW, Atlanta, Ga 30313
