Cassius F. Butts is the Founder and Chairman of CFB Advisors, a boutique management-consulting firm located in Atlanta, GA. As an accomplished executive, he acquired a unique skill set in having served in leadership roles with Bank of America, Fleet Bank and two presidential administrations. Cassius is also the former Regional Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) appointed by President Barack Obama in 2011. It was with SBA where he managed five record-breaking years for SBA lending within the eight southern states.
After 15 years of federal service, Cassius accepted the prestigious role as Executive In Residence at The J. Mack Robinson College of Business with Georgia State University (GSU). As an Executive In Residence, he focuses on the university’s entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives. Additionally, he is responsible for the development of strategic alliances with key private sector, non-profit and philanthropic stakeholders. As a serial entrepreneur, Cassius also continues to serve as an equity partner and executive team member with Latimer Lighting, Corp., and an advanced LED lighting and innovation firm based in Suwanee, Ga. He is also an equity partner with EQ Labs, Inc., which produces the natural energy beverage Last Shot®.
Cassius is a graduate of Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University’s Graduate School of Public Administration and Emory University’s Life Learning Institute where he received a Certificate in Grant Writing. Cassius enjoys volunteering with several civic organizations and is a member of Leadership Atlanta class of 2012.
